"The Gunners board insist there are transfer funds available but the financially aware Frenchman appears reluctant to dip into them.
"Under the circumstances, he has done brilliantly to keep Arsenal where they are.
"But as we approach the fifth anniversary of his last trophy, we are getting to the stage where he needs to win something.
"When they are on song there is no better team to watch. Their passing, movement and creativity is simply awesome.
"But while their football has won many friends, it is has not won any trophies.
"It is now time they turned their good work into silverware. And Wenger cannot do that by remaining prudent."
